Long-distance removals involve different considerations from a local move: belongings spend hours on the road, loading and unloading often cannot fit into the same day, and the two addresses have separate requirements. A long-distance move, step by step
Survey and planning
First, we look at what needs to be moved: the volume of belongings, any special items, and the floors and lift situation at both addresses. From there, we work out which vehicle to use, how many people are needed, which day to load and when delivery can take place.
Packing
On a long journey, belongings need to withstand hours of movement. Fragile items are wrapped individually, furniture corners and surfaces are protected, and boxes are labelled with the room they are going to.
Dismantling and assembly
Large items such as wardrobes, beds and dining tables are taken apart. Screws and fittings travel in their own bag alongside the relevant item. The furniture is assembled again in the new home.
Moving
Loading is planned with the unloading order at the destination in mind. We allow for possible delays on the road when discussing the delivery day.
Placing and final check
At the destination, belongings are taken to their rooms and dismantled furniture is reassembled. Finally, we check the boxes and individual items together.
What determines the price of long-distance removals
Even two homes of the same size can have different prices, because the distance in kilometres is not the only factor:
- The distance between the two cities
- The type and size of the property (home or office): from 1+0 to 4+1 and above. Turkish listings count bedrooms first and living rooms second; 2+1 means two bedrooms plus a living room.
- The floor and lift situation at the collection and delivery addresses
- Packing, dismantling and assembly, or additional work such as moving a piano or safe
- The moving date
Once we have these details, we work out a price for your move.
Moving preparation checklist
- Confirm the date as early as you can; long-distance moves are planned around the date and the volume of belongings.
- Set aside anything you will not be taking; every item that goes on the journey affects the volume and the price.
- Keep identity documents, title deeds or tenancy papers, medication, jewellery and cash with you rather than packing them in boxes.
- Empty and unplug the fridge the day before, and drain the water from the washing machine.
- Tell the management at both buildings the moving date and that you will need to use the lift.
- Confirm where the vehicle can stop at the destination and who will have the keys.
- Make sure you or someone you trust can be at the new home on delivery day.

How many days will it take for my belongings to arrive?
It depends on the distance, route and loading day, so we do not give everyone the same timeframe. We agree the delivery day with you during planning.
Do you also handle moves from another province to İstanbul?
Yes. As well as moving from İstanbul to every province in Türkiye, we handle moves coming to İstanbul from those provinces. The process follows the same steps; only the loading takes place outside İstanbul.
What if my new home is not ready yet?
Storage is also among our services. If there is a gap between leaving the old home and moving into the new one, we can discuss what will happen to your belongings during that time when preparing the quote.
Can I get a price over the phone?
We can start the conversation once the addresses, home size, floors and date are known. The exact price depends on confirming the volume of belongings through photos, video or a survey; a figure given without seeing them is often no more than an estimate.
