Removals between İstanbul and Iğdır

Iğdır is an inland province in eastern Türkiye near the country's eastern border. We arrange removals in both directions; a move may be linked to work, education or family, with the inventory and access at each address shaping the plan.

The road from İstanbul to Iğdır

From Sancaktepe, the route takes the O-7 Kuzey Marmara Otoyolu and O-4 TEM/Anadolu Otoyolu, then the D-100 and D-080 state roads east to Iğdır centre. Motorway tolls are reflected in the quotation; an address beyond the centre adds distance.

The table above gives about 1,496 km and over seventeen hours of uninterrupted driving, not a delivery estimate. We plan two travel days with driver rest; stops, traffic and seasonal conditions affect the journey. See our long-distance moving guide for preparations.

Who is moving to Iğdır

TÜİK's 2025 figures show around 27 % of arrivals citing dependence on a household or family member, 25 % education and 16 % better housing. Student moves may be a room between home and accommodation; we assess part-load moving against the inventory and date. For a move to relatives, we can discuss furniture that will not fit and storage. These broad categories do not explain each move. More people left Iğdır than arrived that year, and we regularly plan the Iğdır-to-İstanbul direction too.

How we arrange the delivery window

We confirm when belongings will be ready in İstanbul and check lorry access, then schedule the road days, driver rest and unloading in Iğdır. Each move has its own delivery window; weather, traffic or building access may shift it. We assess smaller loads against the date and route. Send both addresses and an inventory via contact.

At the Iğdır end

The calculated distance ends at Iğdır centre; another district adds travel. A central flat and a detached home on a district road may have different lorry access. We ask about floors and the distance from vehicle to entrance so we can plan unloading and placement.

Packing and vehicle

For the long journey, we protect fragile items, wrap furniture and secure the load in a closed-body vehicle. We check floors, stairs, lifts and lorry access at both addresses; an external furniture lift may help where the building requires it.

Winter journeys to Iğdır

NASA POWER's 2001–2020 averages show about 87 December–February frost days at Iğdır centre and a lowest monthly mean minimum near -22 °C. These are not a date-specific forecast. We consider the winter-tyre season, road conditions and a buffer day where needed, and check for indoor waiting space at both ends.

What affects the cost

The quotation reflects volume, floors and lifts, lorry access, packing, date and the distance to Iğdır. The two-day road plan is part of the scope. An inventory and photographs clarify whether this is a full household or a few items. See how moving costs are calculated or use the calculator.
