Removals between İstanbul and Gaziantep

A long-distance move to Gaziantep in south-eastern Anatolia needs a considered two-day road and delivery plan.

Gaziantep is a long road journey from İstanbul. Our crew leaves from Sancaktepe and also handles the reverse direction. A household change, education or a new job may shape the move; we confirm the goods and access before planning it.

Distance and time computed with OSRM on OpenStreetMap data from our Sancaktepe base to Gaziantep city centre (2026-10-01); lorry speed, breaks and weather are not included. Population is the TÜİK ADNKS figure as recorded on Wikidata. Population and migration: TÜİK, Address-Based Population Registration System and Internal Migration Statistics 2025 (reuse permitted with attribution). Climate: NASA POWER monthly climatology 2001–2020 for the roughly 50 km grid cell containing the city centre; coastal and mountain differences are averaged within the cell. Route: from İstanbul to Gaziantep

From Sancaktepe, the lorry follows the O-7 Northern Marmara and O-4 TEM / Anatolian motorways to the O-20 Ankara ring road, then takes the O-21 Ankara–Niğde Motorway south. The O-51 Adana ring road and O-52 connection lead into Gaziantep centre. The route is about 1,113 km; uninterrupted driving is estimated at 10 hours 44 minutes. Breaks, loading, city access and driver rest are additional, so this is not a delivery promise. Motorway tolls are included in quotation planning.

Because the route is over 600 km, we plan an overnight, two-day move with driver rest rather than trying to load, travel and unload in one stretch. The outline allows for loading and setting off, a rest interval, and a separate delivery window in Gaziantep. For a smaller volume, ask about part-load moving. This approach is built around a safe journey and a workable handover, not an assumption that everything can be completed in one day.

Who is moving to Gaziantep

TÜİK's 2025 table says about 24 % of arrivals cited better housing, 23 % migration linked to a household member and 12 % education (TÜİK, 2025). These figures cover households moving home, family moves and smaller education-related relocations. For a new home, we assess a 3+1 or 4+1 household room by room and discuss furniture dismantling and reassembly. The table above gives province-wide reasons, not customers on this route. A student or single-room load may suit part-load moving; a full household needs a home removal plan.

How we plan the delivery window

We confirm collection and vehicle access in İstanbul, then check the receiving address in Gaziantep. The road leg and unloading are separate, with driver rest included; each job has its own delivery window. Weather, traffic or destination restrictions can affect it. For part-load work, we check the item's dimensions and who can receive it.

Considerations at the Gaziantep end

The route ends in Gaziantep city centre; another provincial destination adds distance. Gaziantep is inland, so in hotter months we consider access times and shade for unloading. At both ends, we check the entrance, floor, lift dimensions and nearby stopping space.

Packing and vehicle

For a journey over a thousand kilometres, we label cartons by room, protect furniture, keep fittings with dismantled items and secure the load in an enclosed vehicle. We can discuss extra protection for fragile kitchenware and electronics. If access is restricted, we assess exterior-lift moving. On request, we explain insured removals and its policy terms.

Winter on the Gaziantep route

NASA POWER's 2001–2020 data for Gaziantep centre shows about 50 frost days in December–February and an average daily minimum near -13 °C in the coldest month (NASA POWER). These are not date-specific forecasts. We check winter-tyre season and current roads, leave a delivery buffer and agree the loading order for priority items.

What affects the quotation

The quotation reflects volume, floors and lift access, the 1,113 km route, packing and date. We also discuss driver rest, an overnight stop and access equipment. Start with our calculator or long-distance removals service.

Frequently asked questions

Can you move the contents of one room to Gaziantep?

If the dimensions fit, we can assess part-load moving against the vehicle plan and destination.

Do you move from Gaziantep to İstanbul as well?

Yes. Send both addresses and the building details for the İstanbul delivery.

Does summer heat affect delivery planning?

We consider seasonal conditions and access hours when agreeing each job's window.

What if my new home is not ready?

If needed, we can discuss storage as part of the move.

Where to next?

Tell us where from, where to and when. A few photos are usually enough for a quote.
