Removals between İstanbul and Siirt
For a long-distance move to Siirt in south-eastern Türkiye, we plan the road breaks and preparation at both addresses together.
Siirt lies inland in south-eastern Türkiye, and this route ends in the provincial centre. We handle the İstanbul-to-Siirt journey and the return leg. Study, a work posting or a family change may prompt a move; the load depends on the belongings and the destination within the province.

Distance and time computed with OSRM on OpenStreetMap data from our Sancaktepe base to Siirt city centre (2026-10-01); lorry speed, breaks and weather are not included. Population is the TÜİK ADNKS figure as recorded on Wikidata. Population and migration: TÜİK, Address-Based Population Registration System and Internal Migration Statistics 2025 (reuse permitted with attribution). Climate: NASA POWER monthly climatology 2001–2020 for the roughly 50 km grid cell containing the city centre; coastal and mountain differences are averaged within the cell. The road from İstanbul to Siirt
Leaving our Sancaktepe base, the route uses O-7 and O-4, crosses Ankara on O-20, then continues along O-21, O-51 and O-52. E99, D360 and D370 state roads complete the approach to Siirt. We include motorway tolls in the confirmed quotation. The table above gives roughly 1,612 km; its 16-plus hours measure uninterrupted driving, not the full loaded-move schedule. As the distance exceeds 1,200 km, we arrange two driving days with an overnight break for the driver's rest.
Who is moving to Siirt
In TÜİK's 2025 provincial tally, roughly 32 % of arrivals cited joining or depending on family; education accounted for 17 % and a posting or job change for 15 %. A student might move a desk, bed and boxes between a rented room and dormitory, rather than a whole household; part-load moving may suit. For someone joining relatives, we identify furniture that will fit and whether storage bridges the dates. Transfers are easier to arrange when the employer's schedule and paperwork are shared early; workplace contents may need office removals. More people left Siirt than arrived in 2025, and we also arrange the Siirt-to-İstanbul direction. These figures give context, not an estimate of an individual load.
How we arrange the delivery window
We schedule İstanbul loading and Siirt unloading around the driver's overnight break. The delivery range depends on move-out timing, destination access and any road delays. A smaller consignment may suit part-load moving. Send both addresses and a date range via contact; see the long-distance moving guide.
At the Siirt end
The route ends at Siirt centre; a district delivery adds distance. We check lorry access, carrying distance and doorway width, then list furniture to dismantle. If move-in is later, storage may help.
Packing and vehicle
We separate breakables, protect furniture edges and secure the load in a closed-body vehicle for the unloading order. Access in İstanbul and Siirt determines whether an external lift is suitable; see exterior lift moving. Optional cover can be arranged through a partner under insured removals, subject to policy terms.
Winter journeys to Siirt
At Siirt centre, NASA POWER's 2001–2020 record totals about 55 frost days across December–February; the coldest-month mean minimum is -21.11 °C. These climatology values do not predict a moving date. We check sheltered waiting, loading order and road conditions, then consider suitable seasonal tyres and a calendar buffer. Weather can alter the agreed delivery range, so it is set for the job rather than as an arrival-hour promise.
What affects the cost
The quotation uses the inventory, access at both ends, packing, date and roughly 1,612 km of travel, including tolls and overnight rest. A few belongings need a different arrangement from a full household. Use the calculator or moving-price guide.
